Medical technology, electronics, robotics and energy systems since 2001.
Who we are
M-E-T cc is a South African engineering and technology company in continuous operation since April 2001. Built in medical technology — where equipment cannot fail — we have developed deep multidisciplinary capability across electronics, fluid-power systems, fabrication and software, and now apply it to robotics, solar energy and communications. Every job is traceable, standards-aligned and backed by people who answer.
What we do
Specialist care for clinical, laboratory and emergency equipment — installation, preventive maintenance, component-level repair, plus calibration and electrical-safety testing that keeps devices accurate and audit-ready.
Twenty-five years of multidisciplinary electronics engineering — fault-finding, component-level repair and life-cycle support across medical, industrial and field systems.
Deep expertise in the fluid-power systems inside medical and industrial equipment — ventilation, suction, actuation, pressure regulation and control.
Mechanical fabrication, enclosures, cable harnesses and custom assemblies built in-house — enabling rapid prototyping, bespoke fixtures and field-ready hardware without outsourcing.
In-house software engineering for regulated environments — from embedded systems to complete quality-management and ERP platforms such as METQMS, built entirely by our own team.
Robot software development on ROS and ROS 2 — perception, navigation, control and integration for unmanned ground, aerial and legged platforms, linking sensors, autonomy and mission payloads.
Platform integration, payload engineering and maintenance for multirotor and fixed-wing UAVs — inspection, mapping, agriculture, security and delivery applications.
Unmanned ground vehicles and quadruped robotics: integration, sensing, communications, power engineering and field maintenance for industry, agriculture and security.
Uncooled thermal-detector integration and analysis — NETD sensitivity, radiometric measurement and DRI (detection, recognition, identification) range planning for inspection, security and surveillance.
Solar PV and battery storage — design support, installation, commissioning and maintenance. Dependable off-grid and backup power for clinics, sites and remote operations.
Radio, telemetry and data-link engineering — reliable field communications connecting people, vehicles, sensors and autonomous platforms.
ISO 13485-aligned processes with full traceability — CAPA, complaints and risk management — delivered by technicians on site nationwide, with a clear view of every asset's history, condition and next service.
Who we serve
Twenty-five years of medical-grade engineering discipline, applied across the sectors where equipment has to work the first time.
Our work
Where we are
The discipline that keeps an operating theatre running now serves a wider world. M-E-T applies its engineering foundation to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) and legged robotic platforms; to solar photovoltaic and battery energy systems; and to radio, telemetry and data-link communications. Whether the asset is a defibrillator, a survey drone, a quadruped robot or an off-grid power installation, our method is the same — standards-aligned processes, full traceability and people who answer.
We operate nationwide across South Africa, with project and support reach into sub-Saharan and northern Africa. Our field teams are backed by live scheduling, mobile tools and the full traceability of our own METQMS platform.
Twenty-five years of accountability. In continuous operation since April 2001, in a sector where reliability is measured in lives. Genuinely multidisciplinary. Electronics, fluid power, mechanical fabrication, software and RF under one roof — rare breadth, deep experience. Quality is infrastructure, not paperwork. We built our own quality-management and traceability platform (METQMS); traceability is how we work, not an afterthought. Medical-grade discipline in every sector. The standards that keep a theatre running now keep drones flying, robots patrolling and solar arrays producing. An authorised channel, not a workshop of last resort. We distribute, install, commission and service medical devices under OEM and distributor agreements maintained over decades — and we support both current and legacy equipment generations, protecting your installed base. Africa-capable. Nationwide South African coverage with proven project and support reach into sub-Saharan and northern Africa.
